The 2026 AON Mullingar Half Marathon

A strong headwind made the going difficult for the participants in the 2026 AON Mullingar Half Marathon.

The race kicked off when runners assembled at the start line in Mullingar town centre (outside Danny Byrnes) this St Patrick’s Day morning before following the Royal Canal, and concluding the run in the town park.

Despite the challenging conditions the first runner, Michael Brady, came in just past the 1h 10m mark. Upon crossing the finish line the participants were greeted with refreshments and the highly coveted AON Mullingar Half Marathon Medal for 2025.
