A great crowd of Irish soccer fans, approximately 6,000, made the journey to Prague to watch the Republic of Ireland versus Czechia on Thursday. Closer to home in Mullingar there was plenty of interest in the match also, which ended in that dramatic penalty shootout defeat for an Irish team that deserved more on the night. Fans were disappointed, but still enjoyed a special night of action.
