Two Mullingar sisters, Jodee and Annabelle Arthur were part of a number of Karate Students who took part in a National Kyu/colour belt Grading held in Mullingar.
The girls successfully achieved their 5th Kyu/2nd Yellow Grades under an independent panel and are seen here with their certificates. Commiserations goes out to those who didn’t pass this time. Gradings take place every 3 months up to 2nd Green Belt level. Students are tested on Kihon (Basics), Kata (Forms) and Kumite (Fighting ability) as well as Fitness and Conditioning.
Classes continue every Tuesday and Saturday and beginners are always welcome ages 6yrs to Adult. The Club is based at the local Mullingar Parish Community Centre. Details 086 1676358 or www.kyokushinireland.com
