RTÉ Investigates: Inside The Care System (RTÉ 1, Wednesday 22nd, 9.35pm)
RTÉ Investigates spends a year at the family law courts witnessing the unfolding crisis in care of some of Ireland’s most vulnerable children. Journalist Barry O’Kelly reports on a system at breaking point, where Ireland’s most vulnerable are often being lost in a care crisis that is getting worse.
Super Garden (RTÉ 1, Thursday 23rd, 7pm)
The competition to design and create a Super Garden is back. Five designers take on a challenge that requires creativity and a huge amount of physical effort to build a garden worthy of going forward to Bord Bia Bloom, Ireland’s premier garden show. With just three weeks and a budget of €15,000, each designer takes over one garden in a new social housing estate – their blank canvas – to make something that will impress the judges.
The Neighbourhood (Virgin Media One, Friday 24th, 9pm)
A new reality game show hosted by Graham Norton, where six households move in to a purpose-built community to compete for a £250,000 cash prize. Following these real-life households from all walks of life who move next to each other and compete in fierce challenges that change dynamics behind closed doors becomes a tricky tightrope with a huge payoff to be the ‘last house standing’.

This third and final series marks the return of the Sheridans, who are about to face their biggest challenge yet when a huge family secret throws everyone off kilter. Will this shocking revelation upend already fragile relations for good, or could this be the missing piece that will finally fix the Sheridans’ broken puzzle? As the family desperately try to forge new lives amidst the betrayals of the past, destructive patterns start to emerge, and soon it’s Shiv who might not want to face some hard truths.

Don’t Look Now (BBC 2, Friday 24th, 11.05pm)
This drama classic from 1973 stars Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie as a couple in Venice still grieving the recent death of their young daughter. Meeting two sisters who claim to be in touch with the spirit of the daughter, the couple are drawn into an emotional maze where nothing seems real amidst the canals and bridges of a ghostly city hidden in the mist.
Chaos Walking (BBC 1, Friday 24th, 11.25pm)
Set in the near future, Tom Holland discovers Daisy Ridley, a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by ‘the Noise’ – a force that puts all their thoughts on display. In this dangerous landscape, he vows to protect the strange girl, as he tries to unlock the planet’s dark secrets.
CLASSIC MOVIE
The Adjustment Bureau (Film4, Wednesday 22nd, 6.55pm)
Matt Damon stars as a politician on the brink of winning a Senate seat who meets and becomes instantly smitten with a ballerina, played by Emily Blunt. Mysterious individuals – agents of Fate – conspire to keep him away from the beautiful dancer in this romantic story with a quirky science fiction twist.

Greggs Vs McDonald’s: The Fast Feud (CH4, Friday 24th, 8pm)
Forget Burger King; the biggest rival to McDonald’s in the UK is Greggs – the bakery chain that has risen to become Britain’s biggest fast-food retailer, expanding so quickly that it will soon have twice as many outlets as McD’s. The two chains are battling it out at lunchtime with meal deals, to the point where Greggs is now taking on McDonald’s aggressively at dinner, launching its own burger.
Bear Grylls is Running Wild (Sky One, Tuesday 28th, 9pm)
Legendary adventurer Bear Grylls takes some of the most famous people on the planet on unforgettable adventures in breath-taking wildernesses and reveals a side of the stars that has never been seen before. In the season premiere. Bear takes acting star Matthew McConaughey on an adventure 20 years in the making as the two traverse the secluded glacial alpine wilderness of Norway.
