Mullingar Badminton Club notes
Meath League Mens and Ladies Finals
What a night at the finals. The Grade 5 women's doubles team went out there with nothing to lose, played with total freedom, and were officially crowned champions. Watching them enjoy every rally and take the title was incredible.
Grade 3
A huge shoutout to our Grade 3 Mens Doubles team. They played some lightning-fast badminton in a high-intensity battle, but it wasn’t their night against Boyne BC. Reaching a final is a massive achievement - we couldn’t be prouder of the heart the players showed on court. Our Grade 4 Mens Doubles team gave it absolutely everything on the night. While the result didn’t go our way, we couldn’t be more proud of this squad. Taking on a new grade for the first time as a team and finishing 2nd overall is a massive statement.
Meath Juvenile League
The U17 boys and U19 boys wonderfully through to finals. U17 Girls lost out to Navan in the semi-finals. U15 boys lost to Boyne in semi finals. U13 girls missed out in a place in finals by two points. U11 Boys got to semi-finals, losing to Stamullen. It wasn't to be for our u13 mx and u15 mx this year but well done to both teams for giving it their all on court during the season.
Mention also to U15 girls who played well throughout the season. Many of the team are representing their county in Leinster Community Games u15 girls Badminton semis finals next weekend. We wish them the best of luck.
