A month of entertainment in store at the Mullingar Arts Centre

The Mullingar Arts Centre has a packed roster of shows throughout the month of may that are guaranteed to meet the tastes of everyone and everyone.

Kicking off with the Bank Holiday weekend, Yvonne Heavey's dark comedy, The Wake of Yer Man is set to take place on May 1 & 2. The play follows the aftermath of the death of Jimmy O’Sullivan as a daughter and a mother try to untangle the man’s unexpected demise.

For the swifties in the county, Taylor Fever arrives on Sunday 3 May.

The tribute production takes audiences on a trip throughout the international superstars famous Eras.

The TY students of St Joseph’s Secondary school will be filling the weekend throughout the 7, 8, and 9 of May with their highly anticipated panto, “The Wicked of Oz”.

The show will see Dorothy caught between two dramatic witches and a wizard and some incredible friends and will be accompanied with incredible songs, comedy and panto trickery.

There’s even something for the wrestling fans as the Megaslam Wrestling: 2026 Mega Tour which arrives in Mullingar on May 13. The tour has visited locations across Ireland, the Isle of Man and the UK.

Set to feature all the favourite Megaslam stars, audiences will get to witness Team Nasty and Team Megaslam go head to head in a battle you’ll never forget.

Energy Plus School of Dance will be presenting their production, Dancing Feet which will see wonderful performances of various dance styles throughout May 14 and 15. The evening will see ballet, tap, lyrical, contemporary, song&dance, modern and hip hop.

Tadhg J Devery will be bringing his new show, Pints, Dentures & Rock n’ Roll to the Country on May 16.

The show follows the incredible success of his previous show, A Day in the Country and will once again feature a cast of irreverent characters, who aren’t just having the craic, they're off the walls.

For those who love the Beatles, the tribute act, The Classic Beatle will be rolling down to the Mullingar Arts Centre on 28 May to pay tribute to the incredible works of the beloved band.

They tackle what they have dubbed, “their biggest artistic challenge yet” by featuring everything from Taxman to Tomorrow Never Knows. There's no doubt that it will be a night to never forget.

Finally the Senior & Youth Theatre Stage School - Musical Mania will be closing the month of entertainment with their 2026 production.

On May 31 the school will be presenting their talented students to excited audiences and will continue to do so through the first week of June.
