Fourth male arrested in investigation into Edenderry fire

Gardai have arrested a fourth male as part of their investigation into the circumstances of a fatal house fire in Edenderry in December.

Mary Holt (60) and her four-year-old grand nephew Tadgh Farrell both lost their lives in the fire at a house in Castleview Park, Edenderry, the evening of Saturday, December, 6.

Gardai say, as part of their investigation, they arrested three men, two in their 20s and one in his 30s. A fourth male, a juvenile aged in his teens, was arrested yesterday (Tuesday).

All four males are currently detained at Garda stations in the midlands under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.

Investigations are ongoing.
