Kinnegad pharmacy robbery features on Crimecall

RTE's Crimecall has featured a robbery on a Kinnegad pharmacy that saw €800 worth of electric razors take from the retailer.

The monthly television programme on RTÉ One, produced in collaboration with An Garda Síochána to solve crimes and missing persons cases, highlighted the on June 17, 2024.

Gardaí issued the public appeal for assistance in identifying the two shoplifters.

At around 9:25pm on the date of the incident CCTV footage shows one of the two make suspects taking items from a shelf, removing security tags from the electric razors and placing them in a bag. The two men then left the shop without paying.

One of the suspects is described as 6’2 in height and was wearing a blue t-shirt, black shorts, a black baseball cap with red lettering on it and runners, while the other is around 5’5 in height and wearing a grey tracksuit with a black baseball cap.

The Garda Press Office issued the following statement on the matter: "Gardaí are investigating a theft at a business premises in Kinnegad, Westmeath on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at approximately 9:20pm.

"A number of items were reported taken.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Kinnegad Garda Station on 044 937 5112, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

"Investigations are ongoing."
