LOI: Shamrock Rovers top after win over Waterford

Shamrock Rovers are top of the League of Ireland after a 1-0 win over Waterford.

Graham Burke scored the only goal of the game in the 25th minute to put Stephen Bradley's side top of the table.

St Patrick's Athletic missed a chance to remain top after their 2-2 draw away to Galway United.

Ryan Emondson opened the scoring for Stephen Kenny's side after 13 minutes, with Chris Forrester doubling the lead in the 54th minute.

Galway pulled a goal back through Aaron Bolger, and had their equaliser through Bolger in the 94th minute.

At Dalymount, Bohemians came from behind to draw 1-1 against Derry City.

Derry went 1-0 up thanks to James Olayinka's goal in the 39 minute.

The Dublin side equalised through Markuss Strods in the 52 minute. Derry were reduced to 10 men after Adam O'Reilly's second yellow card, but held on for a point.

Shelbourne got back to winning ways after a 2-1 away to Dundalk.

Goals from Daniel Kelly and Kerr McInroy gave Joey O'Brien side's a much-needed win, with Daryl Horgan scoring Dundalk's goal in the 89th minute.

At the bottom of the league, Drogheda United were 1-0 winners over Sligo Rovers thanks to Mark Doyle's goal.
