Presentation Senior School pupils with Maisie Currams and Pip Ruane yesterday.

Huge welcome for Westmeath ladies players at Presentation Senior School, Mullingar

Presentation Senior School Mullingar was filled with excitement and pride this week as the school welcomed visitors Maisie Currams and Pip Ruane following the fantastic Westmeath Ladies victory over Wexford at the weekend, when they retained the TG4 Leinster Intermediate title.

The visit created a real buzz around the school as pupils and staff gathered to meet the players and see the silverware up close.

The girls spoke to the children about teamwork, dedication and the hard work involved in representing their county.

There was huge enthusiasm from all classes, and pupils were delighted to have the opportunity to chat with the players, ask questions and pose for photographs with the cup.

A special congratulations was extended to Maisie Currams, who is currently teaching in the school, making the occasion even more special for the entire school community.

Both Maisie and Pip are proud members of Loughnavalley GAA and are wonderful role models for young people on and off the field.

Principal Claire Dorr thanked the players for taking the time to visit the school and congratulated them on their achievement.

The school community wishes the Westmeath ladies continued success for the remainder of the championship season.
