First Communion at St Brigid's

“We’re delighted,” said Lorna Butler, deputy principal of St Brigid's Special School in Mullingar at the school's Communion celebrations.

The hall was packed with family, friends, teachers and classmates in support of the four communicants as they celebrated the exciting day.

“We’re delighted to have First Communion here this morning.

“It’s a big celebration for our school and we like to celebrate it as a whole school community.

“We have four communicants this year and there was a lot of preparation.

“Their teacher Ms McEnteggert has put a lot of preparation for today and their class has been so excited about it.

“There was a wonderful choir and a lot of work to make the day a wonderful celebration for our little people.”

The four students were all smiles and eager to continue the events of the day.

There was a reception at the school as well which included a wonderful cake congratulating the four communicants.
