Belvedere Garden Festival: where nature meets creativity

Belvedere is the perfect backdrop for a festival celebrating food and plants, said one of the management team there as they launched their July event.

“Nature does half the work for us, and we simply fill the estate with activities,” said Liam Glynn, marketing and events co-ordinator at Belvedere House, Gardens and Park.

Liam joined colleagues and guest speakers to launch Belvedere Garden Festival Food, Plant and Country Fair on Sunday July 19 (10am-5pm).

On the day, there will be a variety of plant nurseries and garden centres and food and craft stalls from local and national traders.

Attendees will be able to attend expert talks throughout the day from leading experts in the garden and environmental world.

“We will also have a plant creche so when you purchase your plants, you will be able to leave them at the creche while you explore the site further,” said Liam.

With food trucks, music, family activities, and a buzzing marketplace of local makers, the festival is a full outdoor experience: come for the plants, stay for the atmosphere, and leave inspired to transform your own green spaces.

Another attraction to the day will be a kids play area with face painting, amusements (charges in place) and the opportunity to pot your own sunflower and take it home with you.

Liam added: “The Belvedere Garden Festival is all about bringing people together to celebrate the joy of being outdoors. From expert demos to hands‑on workshops, food, music, and family fun, we want visitors to feel the full energy of what Belvedere has to offer.”

“Belvedere is the perfect backdrop for a day like this. Nature does half the work for us, and we simply fill the estate with activities, flavours, and entertainment that make it impossible not to smile.”
