Belvedere alive with energy for Well Westmeath Expo 2026

Belvedere House, Gardens and Park was alive with energy as the Well Westmeath Expo blossomed into a fantastic celebration of health, wellbeing, and community spirit on Saturday June 6 last.

Organised by Healthy Communities and Healthy Westmeath, the free event ran welcomed a record-breaking attendance and provided an opportunity to showcase the vibrant, healthy lifestyle opportunities available across the county.

Activities included music, dance, nature walks, tai chi, free games, face painting, circus skills, and a chance to try out various physical activities.

Designed with all ages in mind, the family-friendly atmosphere ensured there was something enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

The organisers said they were delighted to have Westmeath Sports Partnership, Youth Work Ireland Midlands, Leinster Rugby, and Westmeath GAA leading activities and encouraging participation, helping create a lively and inclusive environment.

The Information Village was also a hub of activity throughout the day, offering valuable resources and engagement opportunities for attendees; there were 28 information stand holders present.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Emerald Lakes Academy of Dance, and talented guests, filled the courtyard with music and dance performances.

The organising team stated: “We extend our sincere thanks to Lidl Mullingar for their sponsorship of water and fruit, helping to keep attendees refreshed and energised. We are also deeply grateful to Belvedere House and Gardens and Westmeath Civil Defence for their ongoing support in hosting the event.
