Man (70s) dies in motorcycle crash in Co Cavan

A man has died following a motorcycle crash in Tullyvin, Co. Cavan, on Sunday morning.
The single-motorcycle crash at Drumsillagh occurred at approximately 10:50 am.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 70s, was removed from the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he was pronounced deceased on Sunday evening.
The road was closed to allow examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. It has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 10:00am and 11:00am on Sunday, July 5th, are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
