'We felt like winners thanks to hospitality at Kilbeggan'

More than 100 guests of Mullingar Municipal District Chamber of Commerce enjoyed Ladies Day at Kilbeggan Races from the Balcony Suite on Friday.

Guests were treated to stunning summer weather, beautiful views over the track, and a superb barbecue buffet, making for a memorable afternoon of racing, networking, and celebration.

Several members of the chamber leadership team were present, including president Suzanne McEvoy, vice-president Aaron Bohan and board members David Smyth, John O’Connell and Maura Carey.

Minister Peter Burke and Cllr Bill Collentine also called in to join the celebrations.

Speaking after the event, Ms McEvoy said: “Even if your horse didn’t come in, we all felt like winners with the five-star treatment and hospitality at Kilbeggan.

“It was a fantastic day enjoyed by our members and their guests, and it was wonderful to get to enjoy the facilities of our own members at Kilbeggan Racecourse. There was great networking too, and definitely something a bit special.

“The chamber just wanted to treat members to something a little different, and it’s something we’ll definitely be repeating.”

Ms McEvoy added congratulations to Mags and the team at Shannon Energy, who took home the honours in the sweepstake on the day.
