Intellectual Disability Residential Services presents ‘Different Strokes’ exhibition

The Intellectual Disability Residential Services presents ‘Different Strokes’ an exhibition of work by the people residing in the Community Houses, Westmeath from 20 July to 14 August at the Atrium Space in Áras an Chontae, Mullingar.

The opening reception is on Tuesday 21 July, 5.307pm, when light refreshments will be served.

The art on display at the exhibition is the culmination of a year’s hard work, an opportunity for the artists to display work that reflects individual style and personality.

During that time, they were supported by HSE staff whose aim has been to encourage the artists to express their individuality.

This initiative has also given the artists an opportunity to engage more broadly with the local community. In addition, the residents from the community houses have the opportunity to chat and support each other and compare their work during the art sessions in the Congress Centre Mullingar.
