Good Strangers return home to Mullingar for special live show
Mullingar band Good Strangers are set to return for their first local gig in three years when they play at Platform No 5 in Clarke’s Bar on Friday, September 25.
The band, who recently performed at Electric Picnic, are looking forward to bringing their music back to Mullingar for what promises to be a special homecoming show.
The performance will feature songs from their debut EP, Adult Teenage Novels, which was released in late 2023, alongside a selection of new and previously unreleased material.
Good Strangers have enjoyed a busy period since their last hometown appearance, and their EP performance providing one of the highlights of their year.
The Mullingar show will also give local fans an early opportunity to hear some of the new music the band have been working on, ahead of further releases planned for next year.
Adding to the local flavour of the evening will be performances from two other Mullingar acts, Seán McDonnell and Do The Yoke.
For Good Strangers, the event marks a return to the stage in familiar surroundings.
Their EP Adult Teenage Novels introduced listeners to their distinctive sound, while the inclusion of new material suggests the Mullingar performance will offer something fresh for returning fans as well as those discovering the group for the first time.
Doors at Platform No 5 will open at 8pm, admission €15 at the door.
