Nurses' organisation to hold lunchtime protest at Mullingar hospital
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) has announced that it will be holding lunchtime protests at several locations across the country, including the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar, tomorrow (Thursday).
The INMO said the protests are in response to the cost-of-living pressures facing members, and the impact they are having on staffing levels.
INMO members are currently engaged in a work-to-rule ahead of work stoppages that are due begin in the public health service on Wednesday next, October 14.
Tomorrow's protest in Mullingar is scheduled for 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
Protests will also be taking place at hospitals in Cork, Dublin, Drogheda, Galway, Letterkenny, Limerick, and Naas.
