Templepatrick property makes €4,950,000 at Murtagh Bros auction

A successful auction took place at the auction rooms of Murtagh Bros, Enfield, when the substantial Templepatrick property at Moyvore, comprising approximately 341 acres in one large block together with an impressive six-bedroom period-style residence, sold for €4,950,000.

The auction attracted a strong crowd. Bidding opened at €2.7 million and it quickly developed into a keenly contested auction, as competitive bidding drove the price steadily upwards before the hammer fell at €4.95 million.

The many outstanding features of the property, including its extensive frontage on three roads, substantial landholding and distinguished period residence, made it a particularly attractive offering.

The result reflects the continued demand for substantial agricultural holdings of quality, particularly those offered in one consolidated block, said the auctioneer.

Murtagh Bros were delighted with the outcome, which represents a significant result for this outstanding Westmeath property.
