Beautique clinic launch new look

It was celebrity central at Austin Friars Street, Mullingar, on Saturday evening for the launch of the rebranded and improved Beautique Skin and Laser clinic and the celebration of 14 years in business.

Minister Peter Burke took time out from his election trail to unveil the new logo. Kamal Ibrahim, presenter of the national lottery on RTÉ, was there to host a draw for a €1,600 skin care package prize.

Celebrity doctor Paul Coughlan who “looks after everyone who is anyone in Ireland”, including Suzanne Jackson and Rosie Connolly, announced that he will be attending the clinic once a month, and Eileen Loughlin, influencer @everything.eileen, acted as MC.

The business was founded by Lisa Finnan at The Downs, Mullingar, 14 years ago and moved to Austin Friars Street 12 years ago.

The balloon festooned reception area was packed with family, friends, clients, and well-wishers who were treated to champagne and a delicious array of diet-defying finger foods, provided and served by Lisa’s aunts – Helen, Hilary and Anne.

Special guest was Lisa’s grandfather, 91-year-old Peter Finnan, a native of Ballinalack, who travelled from Maynooth, where he has lived since 1950. Also present were Lisa’s children Adam and Emma.

Welcoming the guests, Eileen Loughlin announced that she has “gone to no one else since Lisa opened 14 years ago”.

“You all know how hardworking, dedicated, driven and knowledgeable she is,” she said.

An emotional Lisa was supported by her partner Kamal Ibrahim, former Mr World, as she thanked all her team, family, and clients for their support. She said that over the last 18 months she has invested more than €200,000 in laser and skin rejuvenation machines and technology, and her staff of 10 have upskilled.

Unveiling the new company logo, Minister Burke spoke of the importance of family businesses. He said an SME package was brought in when he became minister and he vowed to do more for the sector. He wished Lisa and her staff continued success, remarking on the array of awards already in their trophy cabinet as testament to their success so far. Dr Paul Coughlan, whose clients include top influencers and celebrities around the country, provides complex filler procedures and anti-wrinkle/botox treatments.

He assured the audience that there is no pain involved in botox and that you can get it done during your lunch break. Fillers require a bit longer, about 24 hours – “you don’t want to get your lips done during lunchtime”, he advised. Dr Coughlan also offers other treatments and advice and, where necessary, can prescribe medication. He will attend the clinic once a month from November 25.

All those in attendance were entered in a free raffle for a course of IPL or micro needling, a full homecare package, two hydro facials and six months of free skin care at the clinic. The lucky winner was Clodagh McEntegart from Dalystown, Mullingar.
