Coláiste Mhuire capture Br Hubert Cup in fine display
Coláiste Mhuire 4-12, Scoil Mhuire Clane 1-2
A well-drilled First Year football team representing Coláiste Mhuire, Mullingar proved far too strong for their counterparts from Scoil Mhuire, Clane in last Thursday afternoon’s Bro Hubert Cup final, played in unseasonably pleasant conditions in Páirc Chiaráin, Athlone.
This latest piece of prestigious silverware crowns a wonderful year for the Mullingar school which, after over four decades in the wilderness as a senior force in Leinster, looks to have an array of talented players coming through, together with astute managers in charge of the various teams. The future looks very bright indeed.
