Tonight will bring further showery outbreaks of rain in Leinster. Milder than recent nights with lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in a light to moderate northerly breeze.

Tomorrow Monday 12 May

Tomorrow will bring a mix of cloud and sunny spells with some showers. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in a light to moderate northerly breeze becoming a moderate easterly.

National Outlook

Outlook: Mixed conditions at first with showers or longer spells of rain, before settled conditions return later in the week and for next weekend.

Monday night will bring variable cloud and some showers to parts of the country, possibly heavy or thundery. Temperatures will not fall below 8 to 11 degrees. Light to moderate northerly winds veering easterly.

Tuesday will bring a mix of sunny spells and showers, some heavy or prolonged downpours are likely in parts in the afternoon and evening with embedded thunderstorms. However, northern parts will be mostly dry. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees generally, warmest in the west, in a moderate easterly breeze.

Wednesday will be another day of sunshine and showers. The showers will be largely focused in the west and southwest, where some may be heavy and potentially thundery. Largely dry conditions look set to prevail further north and east though. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, coolest near the east coast in a moderate easterly breeze.

High pressure is likely to become increasingly dominant through the latter part of the week and for next weekend, bringing mainly fine and settled conditions. Daytime highs in high teens or low 20s, best values further west, and slightly cooler near the east coast, in mostly light to moderate easterly breezes.
