Projekt Noir 'Summer Sessions' at Smiddy’s this Saturday

Projekt Noir will host an alternative gig called ‘Summer Sessions’ in Smiddy’s Bar on Saturday June 14.

The music collective are based in Mullingar, running theme-based gigs in Smiddy’s several times a year, and this year’s ‘Summer Sessions’ will be their eighth edition of this event.

The gig will see seven bands and DJs perform music from 1966 to 2007, and the music will range from upbeat to insightful.

The music is aimed at an audience who like rock, punk, indie, darkwave and post-punk, giving patrons a chance to meet people with a similar music taste to them.

Visitors can expect to hear notable artists such as David Bowie, Echo and the Bunnymen, Gary Numan, Kraftwerk, The Rolling Stones, The Buzzcocks, The Velvet Underground and much more.

Some of the musicians taking part in the gig include: Darkstar, Galactic Punk, Random Noises, The Podcast, Empire Strikes Back, Ragnor Rok, and The Blue Division.

The gig will start at 7pm, with the first band starting at 8 pm and entry will be free to the back bar in Smiddy’s.
