Fagan sets new 3000m personal best in Watford

Claire Fagan travelled to England last week to compete in a 3000m race at the British Milers Club Grand Prix in Watford.

Claire, who was the 2024 All-Ireland Indoor 3000m Senior Champion, started conservatively and only began her push for home over the last kilometre.

She closed the last 800m in 2:21 and crossed the line with a new PB of 9:06.12.

It is a big step on for the Mullingar Harriers athlete, whose previous best for the distance was 9:22.26, run in Loughborough last year.
