Gardai investigating assault in Blackhall

Mullingar Gardai are investigating an alleged incident of assault and an alleged incident of robbery during the early hours of Sunday morning, July 20.

The incident occurred at Blackhall Place in Mullingar, and three people were taken to Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar for non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardai say investigations are ongoing.

A statement from the Garda Press Office said: “Gardaí are investigating an incident of robbery and alleged assault that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, 20th July, 2025, at Blackhall Place, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

“Two females, aged in their 20s and 40s and an adult male, aged in his late teens, were assaulted and taken to the local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

“Investigations ongoing.”
