Cllr Vinny McCormack to launch West-Midlands Credit Union in Athlone
Cllr Vinny McCormack is set to officially launch the West-Midlands Credit Union in Athlone on Friday, August 22, following a merger of St Jarlath’s Credit Union and Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union.
The Athlone celebrations are part of a series of events taking place across West Midlands Credit Union branches from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Along with Cllr Vinny McCormack leading the celebrations, James Dolan, one of Westmeath’s most celebrated footballers, will make an appearance at the Irishtown branch from 1 pm.
IRadio will also broadcast the events from outside the branch, throughout the day.
This is all part of West-Midlands Credit Union, which is undergoing a full rebrand, with a lot of its offices being refurbished.
Speaking on the official launch of the new brand, Marise O’Toole, Deputy CEO of West Midlands Credit Union, said: “Today marks an exciting new chapter for West-Midlands Credit Union in Athlone.
“This launch represents the strength that comes from uniting our experience, resources and passion for the communities we serve.”
“Our members can expect the same friendly, local service they know and trust, now backed by the scale to deliver even more.”
Marise concluded: “From current accounts and savings to mortgages, personal loans and financial advice, we are here to support every stage of our members’ financial journeys – always with their needs at the heart of what we do.”
