Suspected heroin and cash seized in Mullingar search

Gardaí seized a quantity of suspected heroin with an estimated value of over €13,000 while responding to an incident at a premises in Mullingar on Tuesday (August 19).

It will now be sent for analysis to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).

Gardaí also seized €1,415 in cash.

A man aged in his 40s was arrested in connection with this seizure. He has since been released without charge pending file to the Director of Public of Prosecutions.

Investigations are ongoing.
