Six members of same family 'leap for LARCC'

Six members of the same family leaped for LARCC when they did a tandem skydive in memory of their beloved Bernie Beglan.

Anita Connell, Olive Doyle, Deirdre Penrose, Niamh Penrose, Aisling Noone and Gary Fagan set aside their nerves and jumped from a flying airplane on the morning of Sunday July 27 at the Irish Parachute Club at Clonbulloge Airfield.

They named the event Leap for LARCC.

Generations donations in the build-up to July 27 meant the Beglans raised €16,710, and the extended family wish to thank everyone who donated and helped them reach that sum.

The family visited LARCC last week to present the funds.

Bernie McHugh Manager of LARCC said: “This is a special fundraiser, close to our hearts, and we can’t thank the Beglan family and their extended family enough for this truly amazing donation – heroes all eix of you – thank you so very much.”
