Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, better known as pop star CMAT, returned to the place she grew up today to reveal a stunning mural in the middle of Dunboyne, County Meath.

The singer arrived in a blue t-shirt that read 'Dunboyne's Diana' and spent the best part of an hour greeting local fans and families.

The singer's third studio album 'EURO-COUNTRY' was released today and the singer stayed loyal to her roots by spending the evening in the place she calls home.

Speaking to The Meath Chronicle, CMAT said: 'Seeing the mural today was insane. It's definitely not a normal feeling, seeing your face painted on a wall in your home town. It's the craziest day of my life.''

The mural, created by Dublin-based visual artist Emmalene Blake (ESTR) is painted on the side of Ardu Speciality Coffee in the centre of the town.
