Picture: Simon DelembreNo Repro feeJunk Kouture World Designer of the Year Clodagh Ramsey presented her creation, ‘Aquacultural’, at the premiere of the Colin Farrell film, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, in Leicester Square, London this weekend.
Representing Junk Kouture’s creativity and innovation, Clodagh, current World Designer of the Year, walked the red carpet in Aquacultural alongside the Junk Kouture leadership team.
Inspired by the issue of world hunger, Aquacultural promotes blue farming as a sustainable solution. The design features more than 2,000 mussel shells, scrubbed, glazed, and layered on lace to create a rippling ocean effect on her showstopping design.
The event celebrated the glamour of the film premiere and highlighted the growing global influence of Junk Kouture, the organisation said in a statement.
Renowned for empowering young people to transform discarded and upcycled materials into haute couture, Junk Kouture continues to inspire the next generation of changemakers through creativity, confidence, and sustainability.
Troy Armour, CEO of Junk Kouture, who was at the premiere with Clodagh, said: “Being part of such a prestigious event in Leicester Square is a testament to the power of young creatives like Clodagh, whose innovation embodies the mission of Junk Kouture.
