Coffee for Hospice team doing final preparations

The volunteers at North Westmeath Hospice are preparing for the 33rd edition of the ‘Coffee Morning for Hospice’, now sponsored by Bewley’s, and launched it yesterday at their Mary Street offices.

The event takes place on Friday of next week, September 26 on the Market Square in Mullingar, and at the local parkrun on the Old Rail Greenway on the morning of Saturday September 27.

Speaking at the launch, Margaret Claffey, chairperson, said: "We will be doing a street collection on the Market Square, Mullingar on September 26, and we will partner with ‘G-Bean’ to sell the coffee on the day.

"We invite local schools, businesses and the general public, to contact our office at 085 7863891 if they would like to host their own event and raise funds for our cause. We will create coffee morning packs for you and assist you with your event."

Those interested can email info@northwestmeathhospice.ie for more details.

"We will be in touch with our loyal supporters over the coming week," said Margaret, adding that "all funds raised locally, remain locally and provide support for the vital services of our Palliative Home Care Team.

"We look forward to meeting and greeting the public in person and we thank you for your continued support to the North Westmeath Hospice."
