Energy, dedication, and hard work of Loreto and CBS students rewarded

Loreto College welcomed Gerry Sweeney, president of AIMS (Association of Irish Musical Societies) to present the award for best Chorus in their production of Legally Blonde. The Transition Year Class 2024/2025, in association with Coláiste Mhuire were nominated for awards in three categories: Best choreography, Leanne Carton; Best comedienne, Elle Woods, played by Grace Doyle; Best Chorus Amateur Irish Musical Awards, and this prize was awarded to Loreto College.

The energy, dedication, and hard work that went in to every rehearsal and performance shone through on stage, and the school community are proud of the students’ achievement.

Costumes were by Elaine Connolly, Dawn Farrell and Sarah Malynn; and props and set were by Rory O’Brien, Kevin Doherty, Amy Foran, Geraldine Gibney and the transition year set and design students.
