'Strong to near gale force' winds to come with Storm Amy
The Met Éireann Weather Warning Alerting Service has included Westmeath in a Yellow level warning for strong winds to come with Storm Amy.
The message states: ‘Strong to near gale force and gusty southwesterly winds.’
The forecaster is warning of ‘potential impacts’ that include:
• Difficult travelling conditions
• Debris, loose objects displaced
• Some fallen trees possible
Affected regions are Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Leitrim, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow
