House and farm at Ballinagore for auction this month

Much interest is anticipated in the auction of an excellent residential farm of around 53 acres taking place on Thursday October 16.

Located at Cloonagh, Ballinagore, the farm borders the River Brosna, and as well as having a traditional detached bungalow and a derelict cottage, it has a range of outbuildings.

According to auctioneer Dillon Murtagh, the 53 acres are excellent fattening land – and he stresses that a point worth noting is that the property is suitable for the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant, which could mean assistance of up to €70,000 if the new owners opt to give the cottage a new lease of life.

The AMV (advised minimum value) of the property is €500,000.

In order to bid at the auction, it will be necessary to register with Murtagh’s, at 9342512 on or before Friday October 10, and there is a deposit of €40,000 required in order to bid.
