Grovelands Childcare shortlisted at Irish Family Business Awards 2025
Grovelands Childcare has been shortlisted in two categories at the Irish Family Business Awards 2025 – for Family Business Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); and for Professional and Business Services Family Business.
Dee Frampton Bushell, director of operations at Grovelands Childcare, said: “We are honoured to be finalists in two categories at this year’s awards. As a family-founded service with a strong focus on quality and responsibility, the nominations are a testament to our dedicated team, our values, and the trust placed in us by families across the midlands.”
Grovelands Childcare Plus has long prioritised sustainability, education, and giving back. Children at its six locations are encouraged to develop eco-awareness through books, songs, games, and celebrations of global events such as Earth Day and World Environment Day.
The company has also taken steps to reduce its environmental footprint. Three of its six locations are powered by solar panels; a state-of-the-art ventilation system improves air quality and reduces infection risk; biovitae lighting sanitises toilet areas; and energy-efficient LED lighting has been installed across all settings.
In addition, Grovelands actively supports initiatives that promote wellbeing and inclusion. The company sponsors Buccaneers RFC mini rugby programmes, encouraging health, teamwork, and participation among young children. In 2025 fundraising it has given support to Infinity Friends Athlone, South Westmeath Hospice, Laois Offaly Families for Autism, and LARCC.
One standout moment for the company this year was sponsoring a past pupil who qualified for the World Robotics Championships in the USA, and brought home an award.
