President-elect drops in to Mullingar hotel

President-elect Catherine Connolly visited the Mullingar Park Hotel on Wednesday last, where some of the staff met her, and expressed their appreciation that she took time to have a photo taken with them.

They also took the opportunity to wish her well as she prepares to take office in the coming weeks as the 10th president of Ireland.

Ms Connolly had stopped on her way to Belfast, where she attended the official opening of Oireachtas na Samhna in the Waterfront Hall on Wednesday of last week. She had some refreshments in the lobby at around 9.30am.
