Coláiste Mhuire have 18 projects in science finals

The 18 Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar projects that have made the Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition finals cover technology, social and behavioural, and biological and ecological, sciences, as well as health and wellbeing.

They aim to address real-world challenges, said STEM coordinator Eva Acton: "Having 18 projects qualify this year is an extraordinary result and a testament to the determination, curiosity, and creativity of our students.

"The entrants showed real innovation and perseverance, and together they continue to drive a culture of excellence within our STEM community.

"Each one reflects the student’s ability to apply scientific, problem-solving, and teamwork to create a meaningful impact."

Coláiste Mhuire is having an impressive period when it comes to STEM education; this, as always, is supported by staff, alumni, and collaboration with local industry.

The school community now look forward to cheering on 40 students from first year to sixth year as they prepare to represent Mullingar and the midlands region on the national stage in January.

The continued encouragement and involvement of past pupils remain an important part of the journey, reminding current students that once you’re part of Coláiste Mhuire STEM, you’re always part of the team.
