Youth Night celebration comes to Milltownpass this evening
The 9th Westmeath Milltownpass Scout Group will host Óíche na hÓige (Youth Night) today, Friday 21 November (7-10pm) at Milltownpass Community Centre.
This free, family-friendly evening is open to everyone in the community. Visitors can see what Scouts get up to and even try their hand at Scouting skills, practice CPR, light a campfire (weather permitting), build a mini pioneering structure, or make a paracord bracelet to take home. There’ll also be refreshments, all finishing up with a youth disco.
Óíche na hÓige is Ireland’s first National Youth Night, led by the Department of Education and Youth in partnership with the National Youth Council of Ireland and Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI).
The initiative invites youth clubs and groups across the country to open their doors, celebrate young people and volunteers, and showcase the positive impact of youth work in every community.
The Milltownpass Scouts event is supported through the Longford Westmeath Education and Training Board (LWETB) as part of this national celebration of youth, learning, and community spirit.
Everyone is welcome to come along, meet the Scouts, and see the skills, teamwork, and energy that make youth work such an important part of local life.
