Scouts bring Christmas cheer and mischief to Harbour Place
Harbour Place was buzzing with festive fun as the team from the 9th Westmeath Milltownpass Scout brought a taste of the Santa Express to the centre last weekend.
Families were greeted by a lively mix of Christmas characters, including Olaf, Mrs Claus, Buddy the Elf, the Grinch and a few mischievous elves who kept spirits high throughout the afternoon.
Children enjoyed free face-painting and photo opportunities, while the elves handed out sweets and invited shoppers to hop on board this year’s Santa Express, on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December.
The event is the 9th Westmeath Milltownpass Scout Group’s biggest fundraising event of the year, supporting local Scouting and partner charities.
The Santa Express is a real-train journey from Mullingar Train Station, featuring music, festive characters, games and an hour-long return train ride between Mullingar and Longford.
Santa and Mrs Claus visit every carriage to greet each child personally. Every young passenger receives a festive gift bag, and the station will once again include live entertainment, a sensory-friendly area and plenty of surprises along the way.
A small number of tickets are still available.
