Dr Myles Dungan to speak at launch of WAHS journal Iarmhí

RTÉ History Show host Dr Myles Dungan is the guest speaker on the evening of the launch of the Westmeath Archaeological and Historical Society journal Iarmhí this week.

The event is on Wednesday, November 26 in the Greville Arms Hotel at 7.15pm, and the launch will be followed with a lecture by Dr Dungan on his book ‘It’s all about the Land’.

Iarmhí is now the only history journal published in Westmeath and since the first edition was launched in 2017, it has gone from strength to strength. The current edition features 26 articles on mainly Westmeath themes and is lavishly illustrated throughout with many beautiful images in full colour. It will be launched by historian Dr Paul Hughes; all are welcome.
