Peugeot enhance E-208 with more range, smarter tech, and V2L
Peugeot are raising the bar once again for the E-208, the best-selling fully electric model. Already celebrated for its efficiency and urban-friendly performance, the latest evolution of the E-208 delivers more driving range, improved technology, and new features designed to make electric mobility easier and more convenient.
The Peugeot E-208 has a series of upgrades aimed at strengthening its position in an increasingly competitive segment. The most significant enhancement is its improved electric range: the version equipped with the 156hp (115 kW) motor now reaches up to 433km on the WLTP combined cycle, an increase of 23km compared to the previous model.
That reaffirms the E-208’s reputation for efficiency, an accolade further validated by the 2024 ADAC Ecotest, where it was named the most efficient car on the European market.
To provide drivers with maximum peace of mind on longer journeys, Peugeot have introduced a built-in Trip Planner. When paired with the optional connected navigation system, the Trip Planner intelligently maps routes to optimise range and streamline charging stops.
It calculates the ideal journey based on distance, departure and arrival battery levels, nearby charging infrastructure, and real-time factors such as speed, traffic, road type, and elevation. Drivers can also take advantage of a new 80% charge limit setting, ideal for daily use to preserve long-term battery health.
A major new addition to the E-208 is Vehicle to Load (V2L) capability. With a pre-installed V2L interface, the car can power small electrical devices directly from its high-voltage battery. Whether charging an e-bike or powering mobile lighting, the system provides up to 3.5 kW and 16A through a bidirectional adapter, available as an accessory through Peugeot dealerships.
The full 208 line-up (electric, hybrid, and petrol) also receives several updates. All models now feature a new multifunction video camera, improving safety by enhancing the detection range for Automatic Emergency Braking, especially for pedestrians and cyclists.
A new body colour, Okenite White, replaces Ice White across the range. Additionally, hybrid models adopt new naming conventions, Hybrid 110hp and Hybrid 145hp, reflecting combined power output and anticipating Euro 7 standards.
The Peugeot 208 retains the strengths that have made it a favourite across Europe: athletic styling with the brand’s modern light signature, the immersive Peugeot i-Cockpit, and a diverse range of efficient powertrains tailored to every driver’s needs.
