Mayor seeks works at Belvedere Hills, Bellview Terrace and Piper’s Boreen

Works at Belvedere Hills, Bellview Terrace and Piper’s Boreen were requested by the mayor, Cllr Mick Dollard, at the November meeting of the Mullingar Kinnegad Municipal District.

His Belvedere Hills request was that the trees there be pruned, to which the response was that the estate is on the pruning schedule and that trees will be inspected and pruned, if necessary, in the pruning season.

He also asked that a damaged footpath at Bellview Terrace be repaired and was told that work was to be done in the following two weeks. “Further reconstruction can be examined as part of the 2026 estimates,” the reply concluded.

There was also a positive response to his request that the road markings outside Piper’s Court on the Millmount Road be renewed, with the response stating that the work will be done in the next four weeks.

Ginnell and Springfield

cllr Dollard also asked that the district gravel the surface of the lane to the rear of some of the homes at Ginnell Terrace, and was told the surface, and also drainage issues, will be examined.

A further request by the mayor was that the district arrange to have the doors, soffit and fascia power washed at the OPD complex in Springfield Gardens.

“The Housing Section has advised that they will assess Springfield Gardens and arrange for necessary power-washing to be carried out over the coming weeks,” the reply concluded.
