Cold weekend ahead, according to Met Éireann alert service

The Met Éireann Weather Warning Alerting Service has issued a Yellow level alert for “Low Temperature/Ice” for tomorrow, Saturday.

The message is that temperatures are predicted to fall to between -2 and -4 degrees in many areas.

Sharp or severe frost and icy stretches.

It says hazardous travel conditions are possible.

Affected Regions: Carlow, Clare, Cork, Dublin, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow
