Hereford Society offering four New Zealand bursaries
Four travel bursaries worth a combined €8,000 are being offered by the Irish Hereford Breed Society, in collaboration with Slaney Foods International and LIDL Ireland.
Four young breeders will be selected to represent Ireland in the Young Breeders’ Competition at the World Hereford Conference in New Zealand in March 2020.
As well as acting as ambassadors for the Irish Hereford Breed the four will compete against young handlers from across the globe during the World Conference.
Henry Dudley, President of the Irish Hereford Breed Society said, “This is an invaluable opportunity for young Irish Hereford Breeders since the conference is a direct link to hundreds of Hereford breeders worldwide and will definitely be an unforgettable experience for the four winners.”
Interested candidates need to submit an expression of interest application form which can be obtained by contacting the Irish Hereford Breed Society on (044) 9348855 or by emailing herefordbursary@gmail.com. This application form needs to be completed and returned by no later than this Thursday July 18 at 11.59 pm.
To enter, you must be aged 18-30 by March 1 2020; a paid-up member or immediate family member of same and keen to learn and have a sense of professionalism.
Ten qualifiers to go ahead to the next four stages of the competition, will be announced on July 23.
