Nationwide is at the RDS in Dublin, where buyers from Ireland and across the world have gathered to meet some of the country’s most talented craft designers at Showcase 2026. The event highlights the best of Irish craft, created in communities across the country and on display over several days at Showcase. Nationwide meets the makers to find out what buyers are looking for in 2026.

Wellness: What Really Works (UTV, Thursday 22nd, 7.30pm)

As we are all still in the new year phase of healthy resolutions, Charlotte Hawkins presents a show that encourages overall wellbeing and various aspects of health, including physical, emotional, and psychological wellness. The programme emphasises practical and effective strategies for improving health and managing modern pressures, such as stress and cognitive load.

Fiorsceal (TG4, Thursday 22nd, 10.30pm)

The invasion of Ukraine changed everything for Russia’s Scandinavian neighbours. Many years of neutrality, which had previously created a sense of stability, were replaced with NATO membership and rumblings of potential invasion from their larger neighbour to the east. Today Finland, Norway and Sweden are preparing for a possible future war with Russia.

Dancing With The Stars (RTÉ 1, Sunday 25th, 6.30pm)

The top 10 couples take part in the second ever Country Week on the show. Filling Sunday evenings with glitz and glamour, the series has well-known figures team up with professional dancers to perform live routines every week. Hosted by Jennifer Zamparelli and Laura Fox, dances are scored by the expert panel of Oti Mabuse, Brian Redmond, Arthur Gourounlian and Karen Byrne, and as well as the viewing public at home.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (Sky Atlantic, Monday 26th, 9pm)

A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros – a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. In an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, powerful foes and dangerous exploits await this improbable pair.

Carole King And James Taylor: Just Call Out My Name (BBC 4, Friday 23rd, 10.20pm)

With the majestic Mr Taylor coming to Irish shores in the summer, this documentary feature is a must for fans as it includes live performances of the songwriting partnership between this pair of multiple Grammy Award-winning artists. Legendary director Frank Marshall looks at the early history of both performers featuring stunning performances of King classics like You’ve Got a Friend and I Feel the Earth Move mingling perfectly with Taylor classics such as Sweet Baby James and Carolina On My Mind.

The Road Dance (CH4, Wednesday 21st, 11.30pm)

Kirsty dreams of a better life away from the isolation of her small village on the Outer Scottish Hebrides. When her boyfriend and the island’s other young men are conscripted for service in the First World War, a road dance is held in their honour, but it turns into a tragic event in Kristy’s life.

Tobruk (Film4, Thursday 22nd, 4.40pm)

This classic war tale from 1967 stars Rock Hudson and George Peppard as part of an Allied commando raid to stop Rommel’s advance on the Suez canal by destroying Libyan fuel reserves and keeping Nazi tanks out of the battle. A cracking WWII tale, made with a dramatic flair that’s rare nowadays.

The Toxic Avenger (Sky Cinema Premiere, from Friday)

When a downtrodden janitor, Winston Gooze, is exposed to a catastrophic toxic accident, he’s transformed into a new kind of hero: The Toxic Avenger. Rising from outcast to saviour, he takes on ruthless corporate overlords in a world where greed runs rampant. For him, justice is best served radioactive.

The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas (RTÉ 2, Friday 23rd, 9.20pm)

Eight-year-old Bruno and his family take up residence near the concentration camp where his father has just become commandant. Wandering behind his house one day, he meets Shmuel, a Jewish boy of his age. Separated by a barbed-wire fence, the boys begin a forbidden friendship, oblivious to the real nature of their surroundings.

The fourth season turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict who plans never to settle down – despite pleas to the contrary from matriarch Lady Violet Bridgerton. Judy Justice (Amazon Prime)

Judy Sheindlin is back for another season of her courtroom reality show. The Emmy-winning series brings back the lady judge’s trademark wit, wisdom, and no-nonsense approach to resolving real people’s legal disputes. Season four promises more of the straight-talking justice that has made Judge Judy a household name for decades.

Rugby Beo (TG4, Friday 23rd, 7.25pm)

It’s all about the action from Virgin Media Park in Cork this evening as Munster host the Welsh Dragons and it’s likely to be a bruising encounter. With not much between teams on the table at the moment – Leinster, Ulster, Warriors, Cardiff and Munster – every match is now starting to count in the race to the top.
