Aon Ireland executive praises half marathon team
Peter Brady, head of risk capital, Aon Ireland, points out that 2026 marks 10 years of Aon’s sponsorship of the Mullingar Half Marathon, and over that decade, it has gone from strength to strength, “made possible by the Mullingar community and the dedication of its volunteers, including some of our own Aon colleagues in Mullingar”.
In a statement, Mr Brady said: “At Aon, we advise organisations, global and local, on employee health and wellbeing. That’s why supporting initiatives like this, which bring wellbeing to life at a local level, are so important to us.
“This fantastic event unites 2,500 runners and their supporters on race day, alongside a committed volunteer team who work behind the scenes throughout the year to make it all happen.
“We’re also proud that, once again, the event is supporting TEAM (Temporary Emergency Accommodation Midlands), a vital charity providing a safe and supportive environment for homeless women and children across the region.
“I’d like to congratulate everyone who was involved in the event leading up to and on St Patrick’s Day – runners, supporters, volunteers and the TEAM charity – on the great success of the 11th annual Aon Mullingar Half Marathon.”
