James Crombie guest speaker at Birdwatch Ireland Westmeath Branch meeting this month

Photographer James Crombie is the guest speaker for a meeting of the Birdwatch Ireland Westmeath Branch this month.

An award-winning sports photographer, James is well known for his work on capturing the starling murmurations on Lough Ennell, as well as the other wildlife spectacles on this diverse and beautiful lake.

His book ‘Murmurations’ includes both his photography and narrations from his time on the lake.

James will run through his experiences on the lake and how he goes about taking some of the images that have captured the imagination of so many.

Birdwatch Ireland Westmeath Branch are a voluntary group who aim to promote knowledge and awareness of the birds and biodiversity of the county.

They host indoor talks and outdoor events on birds and other wildlife in Westmeath.

James Crombie will be with them on April 14 at 8pm in Áras an Mhuilinn, Mullingar.
