Joint Committee of Management Prize
The first joint Major competition of the season takes place on Saturday May 2 and Sunday May 3. This event is a great opportunity for members to come together and enjoy a full weekend of golf. To keep things flexible and enjoyable, you can play in any combination across the two days.
Alongside the main 18-hole stroke competition, there will also be a 9-hole Stableford available.
In the lead-up to the weekend, an 18-hole Stableford competition for both men and women will be held on Wednesday April 29, and again, you can take part in any combination option that suits your schedule.
R&A Qualifier
The R&A Qualifier, scheduled for Saturday April 18, has been cancelled by the organisers this year.
Bunker renovation project
The bunker shaping is now complete. Over the coming weeks, sports bond and sand will be added to all newly constructed bunkers, with the aim of having them fully in play by May.
DAR Golf will return in the autumn to complete the remaining bunkers on holes 4, 6, and 9.
Clubhouse refurbishment
Great progress continues throughout the clubhouse. The refurbishment of the Men’s Locker Room, including new lockers, fresh carpeting, and a fully upgraded shower area, is on track for completion by the end of next week.
Painting in the bar/restaurant and entrance hallway is now finished. New carpets will be installed in the Bar & Restaurant over the coming weeks, with the entrance hallway to follow shortly after.
Get Into Golf
Week two of the eight-week Get into Golf programme took place on Monday April 13. The programme introduces newcomers to the fundamentals of golf while giving them valuable early experience on the course.
Club members are encouraged to drop by, say hello, and help welcome our newest golfers as they begin their journey in the game. Sessions take place in the practice area at 6 PM and 7 PM.
