The death has occurred of

Susan Brady (née Delaney) Lucan, Dublin / Mullingar, Westmeath.

Brady (Late of Lucan, Enfield, Kinnegad and Cloonfad Co Mayo.) April 15th (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the staff at Newbrook Lodge Nursing Home, Mullingar. Susan, predeceased by her beloved husband Paddy, dear mother of Collette and Patricia, son-in-law Darren and a devoted grandmother to Leah, Darcy and Cónan, brother John, sister Ann, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, residents and staff at Newbrook Lodge Nursing Home.

Reposing at Newbrook Lodge Nursing Home, Chapel, Mullingar on Friday, 17th April from 4pm until 6pm. Private at all other times please. The death has occurred of

Edward (Ned) Butler, Carrick, Finea, Westmeath.

The death has occurred on Wednesday, April 15th of Edward (Ned) Butler of Carrick, Finea, Co. Westmeath and formerly of Ballycomoyle, Castlepollard; peacefully, in the loving care of his family.

Predeceased by his parents Eileen and Patrick, sisters Teresa and Nancy and brother Tom, Ned is fondly remembered by his sons Padraig (Ashling) and Derek (Amy), daughter Elaine (Mark) and their mam Geraldine; grandchildren Aoibheann, William, Ellarose, Lily and Finn; his extended family of brothers Noel, Gerry, Joe, Seamus and Michael, sisters Breege, Helen, Mary, Catherine, Margaret, Claire and Fiona; relatives and friends.

Reposing at his son Padraig's residence, 'Glory View', Shrunahella, Castlepollard (N91 KT52) on Saturday, April 18th from 5pm to 8pm. Arriving at St Michael's Church, Castlepollard on Sunday, April 19th for 11.30am Funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Finea. The family has extended a very special thanks and appreciation to all the medical and nursing staff and healthcare people who looked after Ned with dignity, respect and kindness. They are forever grateful to you all.

Annie Pascal Duffy (née Gaynor), Horseleap, Westmeath.

The death has occurred of Annie Pascal Duffy, née Gaynor, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England and late of Horseleap, Co. Westmeath – 16th March 2026, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Burcot Lodge in her 92nd year. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Denis. Pascal will be sadly missed by her loving children Philip, John, Anne-marie and Paul, brother Jimmy, sister Bridie Bergin, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Sadie Flanagan (née Fox), formerly of Retreat Park, Athlone, Westmeath.

Sadie passed away peacefully at Retreat Nursing Home on Wednesday 15th April 2026.

Predeceased by her parents Gilly and Mary Frances Fox, her brother Sean and her beloved husband Des. Sadie will be deeply missed and forever loved by her sons Aidan, Donal and Dessie, her daughters-in-law Majella (Daly) , Camilla (Brennan) and Valerie (Downes), her cherished grandchildren Dáire, Laoise, Jordan and Tara, her brothers Tommy (England), Jimmy and Paddy Fox, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, great neighbours and friends.

Peacefully on Wednesday 15th April 2026. Predeceased by her niece Bernie (King), brother Sean (Kelly) and her parents. Michael McGuane, Derrymore, Killucan, Westmeath and formerly of Feagreen, Ennistymon, Clare.

16th April 2026, peacefully in the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar surrounded by his beloved and devoted family, pre-deceased by his parents John and Helena his sister Mary, brother John and nephew baby Enda, brother in law Joe McDonagh, sadly missed by his brother Tommy, sisters Helen (McDonagh), Brigid (McConigley) and Ann (Rooney), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing in St. Camillus Nursing Centre Chapel, Killucan (Eircode N91VF51) this Saturday evening (18th April) from 4pm, concluding with prayers at 6pm. Funeral Mass Sunday (19th April) in St. Joseph’s Church, Rathwire for 11.30am Mass with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

The family wish to express their sincere and heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mullingar Midlands Regional Hospital for the compassionate care and support shown to Michael throughout his time there. They also extend their gratitude to the staff of Thomond Lodge Nursing Home, Ballymahon, for their kindness and dedicated care.

Fr Diarmuid O'Riain, Franciscan Friary, Multyfarnham, Westmeath / Galbally, Limerick.

April 15, 2026 - (peacefully) in the excellent care of the staff at Portiuncula Nursing Home, Multyfarnham.

Predeceased by his sisters, Ann, Sister Kathleen and Sister Enda.

Fr Diarmuid will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister, Breda, brothers, Tim and Michael, nephews and nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces, his Franciscan community and many friends.
