Fionna Gallagher who runs the academy is incredibly proud of her students' success.
“We are incredibly proud of our seven dancers who represented the Leinster division of the Carson Academy at the World Irish Dancing Championships in Schaumburg, Chicago.
“It was a demanding and memorable week, and each dancer rose to the occasion with resilience, focus and pride.

“A special mention goes to Faye Clarke, who on defending her World Champion title with exceptional composure, elegance and determination, delivered three outstanding rounds to retain her Under 17 World Champion crown against a field of over 160 competitors all striving for the top position.
“This has been our most successful World Championships to date, and it reflects not only the dedication of the dancers, but also the incredible support of their families and the wider academy community.
“It is also a wonderful opportunity for these young dancers to travel, gain life experience and see the world through their involvement in such prestigious competitions. The future for Carson Academy Mullingar is very bright.
“For now, we take a short rest before training resumes for the Irish Nationals in June in Killarney, as the competitive circuit begins again ahead of the World Championships 2027 in Belfast.”
